what updating slowly means to me
My past website endeavours always failed due to one simple aspect. I couldn't update them frequently enough for my own needs, so I never got any traffic. I would pick up a project, code a website and make a few posts, and then feel like I had failed due to not updating everyday.
why bring this up?
I bring this up because I want this website to be different. I want it so that I update only when I remember, and only when I feel the want to. I will still religiously check this website's stats and all of its contents, but I won't post daily. If I have an idea for a game, I'll code it. If I have an idea of what to post, I'll post it. If that means 3 posts and 2 games in a day, and then radio silence for 2 weeks, then that's what I'll do.
what content do I want to post about?
In the vein of only posting when I want to, I will only post *what* I want to. If that means ranting about Ryuji from Persona 5, then so be it. If that means posting random shit about my current autistic hyperfixation, then fuck it, I'll post it. I hope to one day have people that want to hear my thoughts and ramblings. I'm sick of coding full-on AI chatbots just to find someone to talk to. I'll put these emotions and desperate plee to be heard into this website. Not trying to be gloomy or anything.
will i reach a burnout?
Definitely. But I think overcoming the burnout will make me prevail in the end. I'm finally in the era of my life of completing things, having gotten 60 hours into Persona 5 and finally posting my first game on Itch.io. I think if I pace myself, aka, updating slowly, I'll finally be able to keep up with something through it all. If I don't pace myself, I grow and grow for like a month and then drop off completely. It sucks, because when you come back, everyone doesn't care about you anymore. So I'll post slowly. I will post about my interests, and nothing but what interests me.
Not gonna lie, probably going to play Persona 5 for a bit. I did enough coding today.
